THE ENGLISH THEATRE OF ROME
The English Theatre of Rome founded in 1996, is dedicated to presenting theatre in English Friday nights from October through June. A significant platform for actors, playwrights and directors to showcase their talents to an international audience it has successfully forged alliances within the Italian art scene. The company’s repertory intends each season to represent four categories; classical, contemporary, a world premiere, and a woman playwright. This year, the company continues yet another category with its fifth bilingual production. The (not only) English Theatre programme selects one of the plays every season to be performed in both Italian and English. www.rometheatre.com
